This coffee comes from the Shantewene Village region, where most people, many of them women, work on the coffee plantations. The coffee farm owns 15 washing stations in three districts that process all exported coffee. All farms are certified in organic and C.A.F.E. practices and are working on further certifications. In July 2018, the company hosted an "Out-Growers Day." Nearly 1,000 farmers gathered to celebrate their harvest and receive a second payment for their coffee cherries. In addition, the top three farmers from each of the three villages were awarded certificates and cash prizes to recognize their consistently high quality in cherry delivery.
