„We opened our own coffee roastery in 2006 for the simple reason that we were not satisfied with the quality of coffee at the time.” The roastery is located in Berlin and is the largest in Germany today. Each day, we work on further developing our balanced blends and striking single origin coffees. We strive for excellence in craftsmanship and innovation.

Unlocking the Potential
The roasting process reveals the full potential of each bean. High quality beans are essential, but true craftsmanship is showcased in roasting. “It is during this stage that we test, taste, and refine each blend. This is when our signature coffees truly come to life.”
“It was the late 90s, and at the time, we had great difficulties getting good coffee. The specialty coffee movement was just beginning. So we decided to start roasting our own beans. Willy began attending the Specialty Coffee Association conventions in the US. We visited Italian roasteries. We met with Piero Bambi at La Marzocco — who had just five mechanics at the time. Even Starbucks and Peet’s Coffee only had a few shops. We traveled, we learned, we roasted coffee. Perfecting the Process
At the roastery, we operate with only the best Probat roasting machines. Founded in 1868, Probat has been a leader in the field of coffee processing and technology since. Probat roasters use a precise blend of conduction, radiant, and convection heat, made possible by cast-iron components. Espresso roasting requires time for the Maillard reaction to fully unlock the aroma and flavor of the beans. This is one of the many keys to achieving excellence. While Probat roasters are not designed for speed, the slower process is fully embraced at Andraschko Kaffee.
We have been developing our signature blends for years to arrive at the absolute perfect taste. In a blend, the advantages of the individual types of coffee are highlighted, bringing their best qualities into the foreground. Blends are an art that require attention to process and material as well as experience.

We do not only roast at the utmost level. Our partners, the local farmers, also share our standards and ensure the best quality with their care and know-how.

From farm to cup: personally selected by us at origin. After the cupping and our quality control, the coffee comes freshly roasted directly to you.
